Acupuncture for Neuroprotection Against Stroke in Animals

This is another study looking at brain effects of electro-acupuncture on mice.  This one uses Bladder 23, Bladder 17 and GV20 which they found infers protection against cortical and hippocampal aptosis.  I don’t know exactly what to make of these studies, but I cited another one previously that looked at neuronal genesis in young rats here.
Because the hippocampus seems to be so critical to mood and well being, I follow any acupuncture research done that explores the effects on the hippocampus.  You can click through to read the whole abstract, just a bit here.
